Our automatic redaction will automatically pick up heads without you needing to select anyone. Currently, Identity Cloak covers 90-95% of heads.
On some occasions, you may find that Identity Cloak's auto-head recognition isn't picking up people's faces. On some occasions, you may have part of someone's head due to clothing, for example, (depending on the quality of the cameras the recording has come from) which means their heads aren't being picked up. Thus when someone moves their head may go from being recognised by Identity Cloak as a head to not being recognised. You will need to go in manually and redact these heads. Below are different ways you can make these adjustments.
- Before exporting your clip on the adjustment screen click "previous". This will allow you to go back to the tracking screen. You can now track the individual that was flickering, when the tracking loses the person's Identity Cloak will pause until you click on their head to restart the tracking. Once the track has been completed click "Save" (under the tracklist box) then depending on if the person in question is meant to be redacted or seen ensure the blur checkbox is checked or unchecked. Checked = blurred. Unchecked = seen.
- If you have already exported your footage, import the exported footage back into Identity Cloak. Once you are on the tracking screen, move into the Inverse mode. Then track the individual that was flickering, when the tracking loses the person's Identity Cloak will pause until you click on their head to restart the tracking. Once the track has been completed click "Save" (under the tracklist box). Please note this will only work for adding in redaction you will not be able to remove redaction.
We are constantly working on improving this to 95-98% of heads being recognised.
