How to, why and when you would use the inverse blur mode.
Invert blur is commonly used on TV when they are filming in the street, and they blur a child or officer walking by for example. Like the auto-blur, you can use the auto-tracking feature with the Inverse Blur mode. The target this time is the person you wish to redact instead of the person you wish to be seen clearly.
- On the right-hand side panel click "Clear" above your track list box
- At the bottom of the right-hand side panel click the tick box labelled ‘Inverse’
- On the right-hand side click ‘Auto-Tracking’
- Then click ‘New’ again on the right-hand side
- Go to the main section of the screen where the video is
- Click once on your target, this starts the auto-tracking
- On the right-hand side panel click ‘Save’
- Click ‘Next’, this will allow you to change the degree of blur on the target
- Click ‘Export’ once you have completed all your required redactions to save within your secure environment
Top tips:
You can track more than one person by going through the same process and starting a ‘New Track’ before clicking ‘Export’. When you click ‘Export’ the clips will be merged to allow you to see multiple people blurred whilst others are in clear view.
