Live Redaction:

Fully GDPR enabled, Facit's Identity Cloak plugin for LIVE video redaction in Milestone will enable a user to redact live footage. You can now select multiple camera streams and redact heads, bodies and (or) licence plates.

Video Types:

Facit's Identity Cloak plugin for LIVE video redaction is compatible with a range of video types in Milestone, including:

  1. body-worn cameras
  2. PTZ
  3. 360°
  4. fixed dome cameras

Redaction and Access Control

Compatible with Milestone's MFA architecture, facit's LIVE redaction plugin now enables administrators to assign redaction permissions to users.

Permissions are configured through the Milestone Management Server for specific users. This ensures users only have the appropriate redaction capabilities when viewing live camera feeds in XProtect Smart Client.

As an administrator, you can

  1. Select a user and the assigned camera(s). Configure redaction settings including Head, Body or Licence Plates for that user.
  2. You can also set the number of days from the current date for which they can view unblurred video ( in playback mode). This means you are allowing a certain user to view unblurred videos for a specific duration.

Live view Redaction

For the Identity Cloak LIVE plugin, redaction is applied to the live feed. Recorded footage saved by the server is not affected by the blur, hence preserving the original, unaltered video data.

Playback view Redaction

A user with redaction enabled will only be authorised to view the redacted video, ensuring the blur is enforced identically in both Live and Playback modes
