What to do if your footage is running slow?

The speed at which Identity Cloak processes your frames within the redaction screens can be to do with the FPS on the original footage.

To ensure that Identity Cloak is working at the best speed for your footage, we recommend that you change your resolution settings to recommended. The recommended setting will change your FPS (frames per second) to 5 FPS which will provide you with the smoothest tracking possible. In addition, to changing the frame rate the recommended settings will change the resolution width to 1024 and the height will remain the same as your original file.

To change your Resolution size, you will need to do this before importing a video.

  1. Open Identity Cloak
  2. Go to Settings on your taskbar
  3. Select Resolution on the drop-down
  4. Select either original or recommend (depending on which one you would like to switch to) on the second drop-down menu

You can only change the settings from the task bar before importing a video. If you have tried to import a video which is running slow, you can either click "new" on your taskbar (which cause you to loose the work you have already done) or go through and export the current work you have done and import this file after you have changed the settings.
